The bad thing is that your original SERT and your new SEPST are both "married" to your bike now. So your original one is worth nothing more than trash filler at this point.

Are you saying that his sert box will no longer be able to send a map to his ecm?

No, it will still work. It would replace the SEPST MAP though. Since he has both tuners, the SEPST is the more modern one so it wouldn't make sence to use the SERT anymore.

I thought there were some drawbacks with SEPST, but I don't recall what I had heard. But I do know that SERT is one hell of a good tuner.

I might have SEPST confused with one of the others. LOL
(Been a rough morning).

I'm thinking you might have it confused as well. They are both very capable tuning tools but the SEPST has more functions. There is a SE street tuner that pretty much sucks, maybe you are thinking of that one. That one only has the ablility to let the dealer (with a key) load street legal (EPA) MAPS into the bike. Not much better than the downloads.

does anybody know if SEPST calibration # 176PZ005 was used on the SERT box?.. my old SERT disc isn't close to verify right now..

what does HDI stand for in the Calibration library? my ECM won't accept this code

i've been data logging all afternoon and this evening, and kept getting a code PO151 which is rear O2 lean, plug and O2 sensor is paper white... at 14.6 AFR the rear O2 runs .4 to .9 volts less than front sensor, and the rear VE new at 2200/2800 rpm is reading 111-114.5% to the fronts new 87-89%, engine temp 268*, oil temp 214*, air temp 71*, .... above 3,000 and it drops to 13.2 and hauls *** and O2 voltage is then within .1/.2 volt .... intake gasket was replaced last week, and i'm wondering if it's leaking again, or the rear O2 is flaking out...

i'm going to monitor a cold start in the morning through the warmup cycle, and see what happens again

You can eliminate one of the suspicions by swapping the 02 sensors front to back. Be observant if one of the connections was weak, as you go to do this.

Does anyone know if the SERT has the ability for speedometer calibration, should I choose to change sprockets, etc?
Thanks

No it does not, but I believe the SERT with the upgrade will.

Wait for some confirmation on that.

No it does not. When TTS was making the SERT for HD they were offered numerous options which I'll bet speedometer calibration was one of them. Which in typical MoCo BS they declined. You do have the option for $100 of upgrading the SERT to a TTS.

I was told that if you tune your bike with anything other than a MoCo product (SERT, etc.) that a dealer will not be able to service it.

For instance, if I'm 1500 miles away at Daytona and my bike takes a dump, I'll be out of luck getting service from a dealer if I tuned with a TTS.

Any truth to this?

Thanks
