that does suck, but it wasn't your fault...
I'd get rid of that bike faster than you can say "Jack Robinson"! LOL!

let it be the next dealers problem... move on and don't look back.

The SERT it not located on the bike. The SERT is a box that hooks up between your PC and the ECM on you bikes, it is only used when loading new MAPs to your bike, or from retreaving Data from your bike. Once the MAP is written or data retrieved, the SERT is unhooked and stored for future use.

new front motor mount suggestions? stay with factory? or is there a GOOD replacement out there?

question >> is there a pilot tube through the middle of the mount that the bolt goes through that could bottom out on the lower washer? the top of the bolt is against the crossmember and perhaps I could have a vibration transfer here I never had before if the mount sagged, since I found the lower nut about 2 1/2 turns loose, and snugged the hell out of it..

how about the rear swingarm bushings? could they contact any fasteners that would transmit vibrations to the frame?

i'm not a Harley mechanic, and i'm just asking some common sense troubleshooting idea's to look into this weekend when we also check the crank runout on the cam side this time...

thanx

update > crank runout is .005

that doesn't seem like a lot, but i'm in an industry where .0005 is a lot...

engine is out, basically a bare frame, and all mounts and bushings inspected, frame inspected, all looks to be fine, oil pump is perfect..

going back together slowly and meticulously, upgrading to 48H cam and TTS tuner and complete dyno tune by Doc, who has been great to work with... he felt EXACTLY what I was talking about, and we're leaving no stones unturned, no sense in splitting the cases for .005 total at this point... so we are doing the updates and retune from scratch, should be done by the weekend, and i'll make another 700 mile roundtrip to get it, can't beat that service, 7 day turnound with all parts in stock.

.005 isn't alot but it is. Just a few short years ago that would of been out of spec. But it's not enough to give you serious vibrations or to take out your oil pump. Hopefully they can get it figured out for you, and I know Doc will give you a good tune.

actually the vibrations aren't serious, just a dull constant buzzing... enough that the HD chrome cover on my master cylinder now cracked and came loose, and it looks like I lost yet another fairing bracket since the dealer had it 100 miles ago... so this will now be every fairing bracket replaced, and 3 visits just for that, and now a master cyl. cover..

being .005 and the oil pump was perfect I made the decision to make a few changes, put it back together, and re-tune as needed..., if the pump didn't look so good then it was on to Plan B or Plan C

I don't know what else to do

I agree with you. You are doing what I would do. .005 doesn't warrant splitting the cases. Doesn't even really seam like it would be enough to break fairing brackets. They did have alot of problems with the brackets, they re-designed them and they are alot stronger. I hope you get it figured out.
