He's probably referring to the Sampson Ovals & SE Breather(as per his sig line).........the one's the factory installed on his bike - no more, no less

Good luck with aftermarket mufflers, I heard they'll burn out your exhaust valves.

And who told you that, the Dealer?

I think he is referring to software like TTS that is used to re-program the factory ECM.

That's a pretty specific example of a different type of tuner. I think he's under the impression that an injected bike can be "dyno tuned" without ANY type of aftermarket accessory...Thus "what the factory provided".

Yeah, that would be nice. It would be called PFM (Pure F*cking Magic).

If that were true, when I dyno my race motor putting out 900 hp, then cut the ignition repeatedly, you would think they would be fried.
It is an old wives tale, based on the idea that the valves will warp from heat, then eventually burn out.

I have SE A/C kit with K&N and Stock pipes.

My PCIII was tuned on a Dyno machine and I have no problems.
I have spoke to several people who ran downloaded Fuel maps and are having problems.

My bike runs perfect with custom maps....It cost but the bike runs nice and no bluing on the pipes.

A dyno tune for just an air cleaner seems like overkill. But good for you.
