Are tired of trying to find the right torx bit for your derby cover screws. Here's the answer. The screws are 1/4-20-1/2 Grade 8. I went to El Cajon Harley in San Diego, Ca. Polished Standard Allen Head part # GW 10206 $1.75 each. Or Chrome Button Allen part# GW 13206 $1.50 each you do need Chrome Flat Washers part# GW 23203 $0.50 each. Problem Solved!!!!!
If your HD Shop doesn't have them go to your local fastener store and buy some. DON'T Go to Home Depot!
Be sure to use some never-sieze on the allen screws as dissimilar metals can corrode--including SS screwed into aluminum.
I use SS allen screws on mine isolated with N-sieze and have no issues with removal FWIW.
I was going to post this:
"If a person cant find a correct torx bit, will they have better luck finding a correct allen?
Now if you dont have one (correct Torx), how are you gonna change it to allen anyway?"
But I wont

I agree. Save yourself a lot of time and money by using the right Torx bit. If after doing so the first time, you are unable to remember that it is infact a T27 bit, write it down on the wall beside where you park you bike.
