Default Handlebar adjustment?

Has anyone rolled their handlebars up or down to get them a hair closer to you? If so, what was the result? Did they come closer? Did it improve your comfort?

How much of a PITA is it to adjust them?

I just moved the bars back on my Wifes Ultra, and she finds it much more comfortable. I just took off the Ignition switch, and switch console and loosened the rear bolts and rotated the bars down and back. Took about 20 minutes total.

I've got my apes pulled back alittle. I'm more comfortable now, more natural position and I don't have to reach as much.

Go ahead band adjust them so they are more comfortable. They are handlebars....not a steering wheel.

Some designs are a little more adaptable to rotating fore and aft. I'm kind of particular on how my wrists are positioned, and it's easy to get them all out of shape by moving the bars around. It's why there are so many sizes and shapes of bars... it's such an individual thing, and it really makes a big difference in how long you can stay in the saddle comfortably.

I completely agree. The wrist angle is important. If the bars are on the shorter side an adjustment won't make much of a difference. More than likely you have new bars in your future.

Just want to know more!
What year and model is your wife's bike?
I want to adjust mine, but the manual does not have really details for my bike (ultra limited 2010).
Thanks for any info.
