Don't know about the 2007 models, but on my 2010 the fuel tank is the easiest part on the entire bike to remove. Absolutely no reason to spend extra $$$ on adjustable pushrods.
You have to deal with the crossover line on a '07 so it is a little bit more involved than on the newer ones.
Going to put Wood's 555's in during the summer. Called Bob Wood to ask about using the stock rods. He strongly advised against it. He didn't specifiy which adjustable to go with, but he did advise me to use adjustable rods.
If the cam manufacturer advises adjustable, I'm gonna go adjustable.
The Indy I deal with also advised adjustable over stock.
2010 Street Glide, stage II 103 with SE 255 cams used the "perfect fit" MOCO pushrods.
2006 Street Bob, SE 120R with roller rockers, also used the "perfect fit" MOCO pushrods.
Have used adjustables for years previously and checked pushrod adjustment as part of periodic maintenance. Decided I didn't want to chase valve lash and loosening lock nuts anymore. Pushrod length is determined before assembly and then run the bike. No changes or adjustments required. If you start making valve lash and need to adjust the pushrods there is a problem that needs to be found, not adjusted.
