Default electical / C.C. / 6th / reserve
Looking for help, I was coming home from wing Wednesday and lost my Cruise control,. would not engauge. Also there was no 6th gear indicator. Also my low fuel count down was frozen and would not count down. I checked for codes and there were two a C1015 and a U1097. can anyone shed some light on this I am 3 hours from a dealer. Bike runs with no issues but i really miss the cruise control.

Reseat the connections on your ECM and see if things come back.

Does all that come back with the recycling of the main ignition switch? Do you have a PC-V? If so, try unchecking Harley ECM Data. Mine did something similar to this last year, Fuel Moto suggested that to be a problem. I pulled everything apart, cleaned and reseated all plugs and unchecked the ECM data as suggested. No problems since then.

U1097 is loss of speedometer serial data to ECM. I cannot find C1015 in my EDM. I show C1014, but no 15. Show a C1025 also. Recheck that number and make sure what it is. You have ABS, yes?

I tryed recycling the ignition, didn't work. I have a PC v and ABS. the codes were c 1095 and u 1097. going to try resetting the emc after cleaning the contacts and using dialectric grease.

I cleaned the ecm connection and the PC V connection, put a little dielectric grease on and it now works like new. Thats for the info, and what a great site for help.

If it happens again, hook your PC-V up to a computer and uncheck the option for Harley ECM Data.

I think I need that because I use the start up fuel feature, here in Canada we have very cool mornings and our bike need a little extra warm up time. So I trim the fuel back and as the bike warms up the fuel increases. I don't know if unchecking the emc will change this.
