My $.02 - I used the CB on a trip from Michigan to Connecticut. It was a bit helpful to understand what was going on up ahead during Interstate tie-ups. Is it an accident, road construction or something else? What lane would be the lane of choice? These types of questions are easily answered. And, yes if you are interested in a hooker those guys can help with that too.

 

hey larm I made a Tourpak relocator, painted it black and when I rode with buddies that were using their CB's couldn't figure out why I could receive but not transmit, then one day I was sitting in the garage drinking a brew and it came to me in a flash. GROUND, when I painted the relocator I lost the metal contact that the ground wire in the tourpak needs. I sanded the paint off and haven't had a problem since. Just a thought check your ground.

 

I keep tuned to Channel 19, when on a trip, for trucker's comments on traffic conditions. I have avoided bad traffic conditions several times.
