safe mode
I've had that happen to me, once prior to driving off it went into limp mode, then next time I was driving under 35mph and it went into limp mode, then the third time it was at starting, each time I shut down the bike waited about 30 sec. started back up and drove off, went to dealer and they found no codes, but they said there has been a problem with the throttle sensor, but until they see the code or withness the problem they couldn't replace it. its been around 1000 miles and hasn't happend again.

harley has a problem they are not admitting. this mode is happening to everyone and it should be recalled. i pulled onto a highway and it went into safe mode with a tractor trailer on my ***. they have issues with throttle by wire. the bike goes into this mode when something goes wrong on that circuit. mine and my brothers are 09s .he has 15k miles, ive got 28k and it happens frequently. just shut it off, wait 10 seconds then turn it on. might take a couple trys. we are out of warranty and on our own. dealer says check wiring first for a short. some newer bikes includes a switch for kick stand. ANYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM SHOULD CALL HD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MAKE THEM AWARE! ENOUGH PEOPLE COMPLAIN THEY MAY RECALL SO ANYONE OUT OF WARRANTY CAN BE COMPENSATED.
