trust me you will never go back and if you decide to it is about a $10 part. I used to be the same and used to save everything and have to have the original if I was going to change something and then one day I realized I had boxes of stuff from bikes I no longer owned and the parts were essentially worthless so now I don't worry about it lol.
Those two screws are going to be very tight all the way out. I tried with a 3/16 allen without lifting the tank in back. Couldn't even break them loose. I then used a 1/4 inch drive ratchet with a 3/16 allen socket and came right out. I have a 2010 FLHTK and did the SEAC and the PC-V and was amazed at the performance improvement from off idle to red line. It will go to red line after the changes very easily so watch out. The SEAC added enough sound improvement to make me happy for a little while. The FM map worked great for performance and cooling. Fuel mileage suffered some, but that is not all the map problem. It has something to do with the right wrist getting twisted more to listen to the new sounds and feel the new found performance. Enjoy!
mtclassic: A HA!! That's the little buggers I was trying to figure out.
Anyone have an extra one of those brackets?? (I'm kinda a purist- and hate cutting things up --I might change mind and go back to stock some day- or move SE to another bike..Who knows.. But that's a GREAT idea..

I'm like you. I like to save all the original parts so I simply made a new bracket out of a piece of aluminum angle. Simple, functional! And now I have the original unmodified bracket to move from one storage spot to the next for the rest of my life lol.
2black1s: Great idea-Wow- lots of good ideas on here! - I feel a little better now. Leaning towards just lopping off the ears of the bracket and going on with life..Like mtclassic said-if I DID go back to stock-just a $10 part. Have enough boxes of "Stock" parts already-and counting..becoming a packrat..lol Thanks guys..
