Anyone out there using the Santee brand Ape Hangers? I am looking at getting a set of 14s for an 07 FLHR. They seem to have some nice prices. Thoughts or concerns.
I have the black Santee 11.5's on my 2010 Street Glide, and love them. Awesome price, much more comfortable than stock, and look great. I'm 5'11" and I could stand to have them a bit taller, but they keep my hands protected behind the fairing for the most part.
I am 5'11" also, looking at the 14s, I want them a little lower than shoulder height. I had the OL check the height, pull back, etc. while I was sitting on the bike with it on the jack. The price looks more affordable than spending over $200. Thks for you input.

No problem. Mine are pushed all the way forward, and my hands sit just above the top of the fairing wings, which keeps them a little below shoulder height. Most of the wind deflects over the hands. I tried the stock mirrors, but could barely see out the bottom half when I leaned down a little, so I went with after market. By the time you get the bars, cable/wire extensions, etc, you should still be under the $200 range.
My wife has the 11" on her SG and loves them. I have the 14" on my RG and like them, they could be a little wider for me but I have a 52" chest so you might be fine. They are a great deal for the price, no complaints what so ever.
I have a 52-54" chest. Never thought that would matter, makes me think. Have to look at the width on the bars.
I don't have any issues with them, rode 700 miles in a day with no pain. They don't feel quite as smooth as my wife's bars which I believe are wider so my thought was that extra width could make a difference.
I got the 11's on a 99 Ultra love them and the price was great as the other guy said under $200 for everything and did it my self. Mirrors were a problem as well. I don't undersatnd why people pay so much and got to a dealer. I hear it was like 1500 for a bar swap with PYO and stuff like that I don't get it
