Yep an allen wrench is all you need; I did that for an AC on my previous bike. This time I bought a Ness Big Sucker and took the damn bracket off and then realized I should have read the instructions first, as you don't need to remove the bracket for the Ness AC - AROUGH!

Thats what I did and I had no problem removing the bracket. I also reinstalled the screws to keep the threads clean in case I deceided to reinstall the bracket someday

^ That how I did mine, there isn't any way in the world you can get those 2 alen bolts out if you don't raise the tank. No need for it to come off, just loosen back tank bolts, remove front and block up with 2x 4.

Thats odd you would say that? I did mine without doing anything with the tank.
