It would be good to know there's fresh oil in the motor but letting it wait until spring should cause no problems.
Evo's are great bikes and the only issues with the 95's are the cam bearing and lifters. Early '95's had lifters with small diameter roller axles. Late year bikes had the good large axle lifters. All of them came stock with substandard inner cam bearing.
Many owners added a cam w/lifters when they upgraded the cam bearing. Another great cam choice for an 80"er is the EV27. It has better mid-range than the EV13 with the same low rpm torque as stock.

go over to the EVO section.good info there. I have a 97RK,love it.good machines that can take a beating.Skip
....Skip's right...you can't find more solid motors than mid 90's EVO'S...they weren't the most powerful motors, but they sure were dependable..and a LOT COOLER RUNNING than Twin Cams...only thing I would say is $7500 is a little high IMO...I think it's a fair deal at $6500...but if it's all loaded up, the right color you like,etc..it's not a rip-off either...good luck
I just paid $5000 for my 95 all stock, lots of chrome(HD parts) and great black with silver ghost flames (see Pic) runs great,But no history,I bought it from a finance company that would have never sold bike for $5000 cash ,if they actually seen the bike.
See atatchment PIC
I definatly will followup on bearings and lifters that are in my bike.
I'm getting my manual this week,But I went to change oil before winter, and noticed 2 plugs one plug(stand side)coming out the side of oilpan and 1 coming from bottom rightside under trans both seemed to come from oilpan ,both 3/4" also the kickstand side ,looked, felt like its never been out,but right side looked cleaner,Which one or both are used to drain oil.
