Hi Everyone looks like Ill be hanging around here now for info and tips.
Ive had a 05 Annv Fatboy since 05 , put 40,000 miles on it but since the new model touring bikes have been out Ive wanted to get a Road Glide. I posted a few questions here about the bike and got some good answers so today I closed the deal on the bike.
My dealer was willing to deal since he has 2012 coming on the floor now with more arriving next week. So I feel like I got a good deal on my 2011 Road Glide Custom with the Power Pak option (103, abs and security) and a 7 year HD warranty (5 plus the factory 2) out the door for $ 21,500 and all parts for 12 months at a 20% discount and service at 10% discount.
Ill pick it up tomorrow and post pictures.
Im going to black out the forks and handlebars and engine guard and probably add a Fuel Moto stage 1 package (pipes, tuner and a/c) and either a Cee Bailey Trcc (sp) windshield.
Any suggestions from you guys on the windshield and handle bars would be great, Im 6'2" and thought the Cee Bailey in 15" would work based on what Ive read here and for bars Im looking at Wild One 518 or 517 in back
Congrats on picking the best HD model!
I went with Krome Works +2 for the handle bars and sticking with the stock windshield for now. Tried a Klock Works 16", but found the top edge to be in my line of sight. I did not notice a difference in protection with it. Would like to try a 15" recurve.
