Have used and have on current bike one from Clearview. 9.5" with recurve. Have the clear but they have smoked if wanted. Like it and handles the wind well.
I read through all the posts in this forum looking for the same answer to the same question. I ended up buying the LRS 9" light tint flip for my Ultra and love it. I can see through it at night if needed and can comfortably look over it instead of through it with the stock shield. I can actually watch the bugs at night coming at me in the headlights and deflect over my head. Havent been caught in the rain yet but have had no buffeting issues and there is always a slight breeze around my head.
We have the tall touring shield on ours because my wife likes the fact that she gets no head buffetting while riding with it. This week I got caught in a huge rainstorm and could not see through the thing at all and it was to tall to see over. Now I am back in the hunt for a new windscreen.

Hey NDBadlands. I know the feeling of riding 2 up with my wife and our ultras sized correctly for you the rider does a great job for the passenger, however our flat top ultra does even better with passenger in mind. It has the flip up along the whole top of the shield for a much wider wind deflection. Check it out on our site, it really is a good looking shield.
Looking through the shield can be very challenging in certain circumstances. If you and the OP want to try out an LRS shield, I will guarantee not only it fitting and durability, but also your absolute satisfaction with performance for you and your passenger. Just call me up of pm me and I will take care of you. If you're not happy with it in any way, I'll take it back with a full refund.

Check out Windvest,
the recurve is nice and they do have excellent customer service. Best windshield with recurve in my opinion. Not as thick as the other ones but this has the advantage that your inner and outer fairing become one, instead of seperated.
Hi zzzcici, I'd be glad to help you get sized up for one of ours if you're interested in trying one out. All of our shields have the flip-up at the top that pushes the air up and over you, allowing you to look over the shield and not through it. Give me a call if you like at 7753313789. We always take care of our HD Forum members as well.

Since (Fastultra) you are so happy with yours thats the kind of endorsement I was hoping for.
