Not to worry ... at this point.
After consulting with both 'dawg' here on the forum, and my local Harley Service manager, I found that chances are, there is nothing to worry about.
dawg hinted that it might be the temp sensor ...
Service manager said to go ahead and reset code, and if it came back after starting the bike, and stayed on, to consider investigating an electrical problem ...
In my case, the engine light did not come back on ...

G

P.S.
Yes, 'dawg' was very helpfull, by the way ....

Same happened to my 09 TriGlide. Trying to ck ACR's are working. Pulled fuel pump fuse. Cranked eng, eng cranked . Them pulled ( system relay). thinking it would keep acr closed so eng would crank slower. Cranked the same with relay in or pulled out. Put relay and 15amp fuel pump fuse back in fuse block. Now I have a ck engine light on for 10 seconds.

I kind of thought it wouldn't be a big issue because it came on while stuck in 105degree stop and go traffic. But, the cruise quit working as well, so I wondered. The cruise worked fine the next day and the bike has run the same as it always has.

if you're just trying to check your acrs, you don't have to go through all that. you should be able to hear them 'click' when you turn the ignition/run switch on.

No click not on the harley 103 ACR. Not on my 09Tri Glide or my wifes 10 XXX 103 trike. Had a S&S113 with ACR could feel the ACR work by putting my fingers in the middle of the rocker box could feel them move when the engine was cranked. There is a way to ck the HD 103ACR with a probe. But I was to lazy. Now I have a code. Road the Trike a hundered miles ran good. just cranks slow on a restart when warm some times.
