Default Engine Check Lamp

I was riding today and noticed that the Engine Check Lamp came on. On the way back home it would go off and then come back on.

I couldn't engage my cruise control either.

I had just switched out my stock window to a 6". When I loosened the the fairing to remove the window could this have triggered the ECL in any way?

Logged an historic code. Could be something simple as a loose spark plug cable, an 02 sensor reading, etc. Best thing to do is pull the codes and see what comes up. Check the code to see what it is and clear it.

like dawg said check your codes, then make sure your brake light is not stuck on that will keep the cruise from working

Cruise control is disabled when you have a check engine light.

The same thing happened to me, In my case the brakes work fine and Laconia Harley said it is the cruise control sensor, They ordered the sensor and I expect it to be in this week and they will install it under warranty.
