I don't have ABS but would have it if I had the choice. I went down a few years ago because I came up on the stop too quick and there was sand on the pavement. I may not have gone down if I had ABS (or maybe so).

I love my security and actually added it to this last bike (don't need the siren) because I can just get off the bike and walk away for a short time without having to do the lock down thing.

I may take a differant tack here.....but I rode for YEARS without ABS. If you want it, get it.
Harley security? I guess it is OK....never had a bike stolen. How much security does a brake disc lock get ya? (Harley sells those too.)
Harley security without a siren just makes the lights flash. With a siren, makes people look, but most people do nothing when they hear an annoying alarm. All a thief has to do when an alarm goes off is to raise both arms and say "Anyone know how to shut this F^@k!n& thing off?!".

Like everyone says , the ABS is the best 800 you can spend, and I do enjoy the security system , but add the siren too. even though the bike wont start the screaming siren would discourage anyone from moving the bike too.

My bike did not have ABS and it didn't stop me from buying it. When it becomes standard ( and I think it will be someday) I will get it. As for security. I added mine after I bought for a fraction of the cost.

No way will I buy a Harley without ABS now that I have had it, the security is nice also and I would not want a siren because those are annoying. The only time I actually lock the bike now is when I am well away from it. I really think that NOT having ABS could hinder the re-sale at a later date. Good Luck with your purchase.

I never had any experience with ABS on a bike but I do like the security, just walk away with the fob in your pocket and the bike won't start.
