I'm another one that doesn't see the cost benefit to a new model RK.

Besides, you can't get a carb anymore. And I am one that likes his carb, and the lope at idle :-)

Available ABS and security.

The 12 is worlds away from the 3's and 4's. 09 was a big leap. 12 is a move toward more reliability especially with the electronics.
Available? This was standard on the 2011 RKC.

LOL... thanks for that "short" post..... now if you would have included the 2003 MOCO info, that would have been a good comparison.

The most important thing that makes me want to keep my '03 RK is my payment is $0. I'm pretty sure the payment on a new one would be closer to $400, or upwards of $20,000 out of pocket bone stock.

My bike may not handle as well or accellerate as fast as the new ones, but it does get me out for some good rides, and is a lot of fun. I have it pretty much set up the way i like it, and it does get some looks now and then.

Well I sold my 2003 anniversary RKC, which was built and blinged out. I have to say the 2012 RKC is a marvel. Rides better, handles better, accelerates better, stops better, more power, more reliable. I love the 6 speed and all the new technology. Do I miss the 2003...sure but after about 10 minutes on the new bike, she is all but forgotten. Now I will build this one my way...
