Default I got the jack... anyone done this?

I bought a Harbor Frieght lift table, hydraulic. I wanted the air over but they don't have it anymore. Has anybody out there converted one of these jacks over to air over hydraulic? Anyone know if it is possible? The table seems to be well made, at least for the $299 it cost me. I also picked up the HF version of the condor chock that was $39.

As always, appreciate the input

Thanks

I have had the setup you mention for some time, and I too would prefer air to lifting the table rather than standing there pumping. I am sure it can be done but don't have the smarts to figure it out..

Pretty simple. Hook an air line to the up hyd fitting at the base of the cyl. Put a brass mesh plug at the top hyd hoes fitting.

No jack war from me. I just need one that lifts higher so I can work on my bike easier. Back bothers me too much bent over with my current jack.

Hydraulic or Pneumatic, the jack doesn't know. It will work the same with air as it will with oil. You need to vent the top of the piston to allow the air an escape route and you can put a tee with a drain valve in the inlet hose to the jack. The valve off of the tee will allow you to drain the air out of the bottom of the cylinder to lower your jack. How hard is that?
