JMHO the 08 and back rack that uses a modified shock bolt for the front mount and HD rear mounts ( like sublime_ac) looks a little sketchy. The 09 and up mount uses the same shock bolt mount in front but different rear mounts, appears to be holding up according to users. The 08 and back mount that uses the stock style HD front and rear backrest mounts (like Harleypingman) is made thicker than the others and seems to be holding up as well. I'm liking my home made bracket better all the time.

No response......I didnt even complain or ask for my money back just yet. I was just looking for his thoughts on the situation.
Just p/u the phone and call Nick. I've never had a problem getting in touch with him by phone on the few occasions I've needed to reach him.

As for failures, the only failure I've heard about is the one involving the rack made by BRC in this thread. I asked Nick if he knew of any failures of the racks he sold and he told me "No" -- that was probably 6 or so months ago.

I'd expect it will be more convenient for Nick to tell you what his thoughts are than typing a reply to an email.

I agree with you about picking up the phone. I just started a new job and its very hard for me to make personal phone calls so I thought I would try an email first. Ill have to make time to call Nick next week.

I need to get my tour pac painted so I can try this mount out. After many thoughts, Im leaning towards the FBI-bolt on mount, only because Im considering putting a subwoofer and another amp in my tour pac, a little too much weight for comfort using this detachable mount, IMO.
