I have a 2008 Ultra with ABS, the ABS light remains on while riding ! Any idea what is wrong with it .? Maybe just a download .? I understand I have no ABS brakes until I get it looked at ( No big deal ) Just wondering if there is a simple fix besides taking it to a dealer .
follow the wires front the wheel sensor up into the triple tree. There can be a break in the wire at the connector you will find up there. My break in the wire was just under the plastic covering the main harness running back on the bike. Other than finding an obvious break in the wires there must be a way to test.

Will look after work ! It sometime goes out , so maybe just a loose wire !
check your diagnostic codes and see what they show if anything along with fluid level. have you had a tire replaced recently or wheel off? could be they got the sensor(s) on wrong?

I used my ABS two nights ago when there were three deer in the road. I'm just saying that you never know when it might be a "big deal"

I checked the oil , it is fine , wires seem fine as well , did have the rear tire replaced 1200 miles ago ! Just acting up now ! Hopefully a dealer can look at it this weekend !

Whenever I get my next bike (kids out of college, house paid off, wife and I healthy) I want to get ABS. I hit a deer in October of 08. I attribute it to the braking. I went into a skid as I hammered the brake way to hard. It was my mistake I learned from. there is no guarantee I won't do it again. I think ABS could be a life saver on a scoot. Just my opinion. By the way I did 5k damage to 08 RK and I limped for a year.

Thanks , found it just were you said it would be ! Back in action !
