The poll is not really for my benefit as I am very pleased with my Road King Classic, although its only the second harley I've owned, and I've only had Harleys for the past 2 - 3 years.
The idea of the poll is to help anyone thinking about getting a 07 HD to get a true picture of any issues with the new models. So please take the time to vote, as I am sure if you or I were in their shoes we would want as much honest and as far as possible unbiased information as possible.
This is my first Harley. The bike runs great. I can hear some valve noise which I believe is normal on a FLHTCU with lowers etc. The sweet spot in RPM is between 2500 and 3000. The higher the gear, the higher the RPM needs to be so as not to lug the engine, for example 6th gear likes to rev at 2700 RPM or higher. Only problem, if you can call it that, is the headlight needed to be reaimed. I've had the bike for a month and I have a little over 4000 kms on it.
Here we go....another complete waste of time '07 poll![:'(] Let the moanin' begin and then fade away...till the next poll.
Whatever..................................
First I was trying to be helpful, and second, you neither had to contribute or comment on the poll if you so felt. What is indeed a complete waste of time is your post.
You should add a poll choice of not owning a 07. This will allow us to see the poll results.
Sorry, I am not sure I understand, how can not owning a 07 model have any bearing on the number of people who are or are not happy with their decision to buy one.
This has been done several times already. Most love them a few are waiting for a compensator fix and some wish they had bought a honda, just like every year before nothing changes.
Sorry if its been done before but I did a search back some 5 months and only found one poll specifically on the supposed tranny problem. There are several threads which state they are polls but there are just many pages of comments, which contain repeat postings and a few off topic postings.
The idea was that for anyone who cares, they could look at page one of this thread and get an idea about how good or bad the newer bikes are at the moment, not just the supposed tranny issues.

Funny thing is there is NO TRANNY problem on the 07, the 5th gear whine is normal and the clatter some talk of is the compensator which is located in the primary case, this has been defined in those many pages of threads. Thats why this poll didnt fly.
