i cracked a front rotor and replaced the rotor. the cracked rotor messed up the front calipler so i had to rebuild it. the problem now is i can not get the front master cyclender to pump up. it worked fine before i have pulled a vacum rebuilt the thing and also tried pumping the fluid back up to the master cyclender from the calipar still no luck. im stumped as to why it wont work when it was working fine before. any ideals as to what might be the problem.

Would help if we knew what bike and year your talking about. ABS, no ABS etc.
Sometimes it takes a while to get it to pump up. I have had the same problem on differant bikes. Try taking the caliper off again and with the piston side pad use a c-clamp to fully compress the caliper piston. Hold the piston in with clamp and pump it up and bleed it. It should pump up. The master cylinder has such a short stroke it is not moving a lot of fluid. Hope this helps.

What he said. I had to do that on my 1981 shovel just about everytime I took the rear wheel off, but that was the old banana caliper
here is the up date. pulled the calipar of the piston was still closed. pulled the brake lines off blowed air through them to make sure they wernt cloged. took master cyclinder back apart. put it back together. with my finger over the hole i slowly pumped short strokes just enough to see air bubbles. and then it wont bubble anymore there was no presure on my finger. ive taped the handel slightly pulled in with the bleeder open and leting it sit. also tried taping on the bottom of master cyclinder to see if any more bubbles come up.
