I don't know what it is with me and turn signals, but I am having yet another issue with my right rear turn signal. I have a 2011 SG with the two rear lights as run, turn, and brake (factory set up). All of the sudden, my run quit working, but I still had turn and brake so I figured it was the filament. I know the 1156 single and 1157 dual filament bulbs break easy if you hit hard bumps so I figured it was just another cheap bulb. When I got home, I popped the cover off and put a new bulb in. Turned on the ignition to make sure it worked and still no run light. I went to take the bulb out and apparently it isn't making good contact with the socket. The bulb works if you push it in but does not work if you take pressure off of it, like if it is just sitting in the socket how it normally would.
Has anyone ever had this happen on their brand new bike? What did you do to fix it?
Also, does anyone know of a LED light that would fit into the factory housing? I would love to have LEDs front and rear to replace the cheap 1156 and 1157 type bulbs. $20,000 motorcycles with the cheapest bulbs possible. Way to go Harley.
Had it happen with a new truck one time. Take some needle nose pliers, or anything you can fit in there and manipulate the socket to make better contact with the bulb. Who ever put the bulb in initially may have pushed too hard and now there is no contact.

Give these people a call. http://www.customdynamics.com/ They'll set you up. Really bright. I have them on my Road Glide Custom with the same tail lights you have.
I have these on my 2012 Street Glide. They look really good on, or off and the fit and finish is flawless. Piece of cake to install also. They make them for the front and rear.
