Default Most low.Least Dough?

I recently purchased a 2004 electra glide and was wondering what some options are for getting as low as I can without going air ride. The bike is going on the lift for the season soon and I am going to disassemble the front forks for powder coating. I figure now would be a good time to figure out what I am going to do for suspension. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you could try taking a page from your last build and use solid struts...

remove the fender and allow the swingarm to come up at much as it can, then put on your struts and remount the fender.

other than that, bitchin' baggers website is worth a look, maybe talk to them.

when lowering those, you have to look at the wiring inside the fender, easier to move it during the build than have it chewed up by the tire.
My lowered FXR, I have "flat 4" trailer lighting kit wire siliconed to the inside of the fender on the side following the radius on the pulley side, keeps the tire away from the wiring.

Im all set with 2 rigid bikes. I am just looking to see what options I have to go relatively low without actually having air. I will be purchasing stretched bags from bad dad and want to lower the bike.

I was thinking more along the lines of this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/-?cmd...235#vi-content

I am just trying to figure out the lowest method without going bags... Not necessarily the cheapest. Maybe I wasn't too clear

Chops, bad dad also has 2" lowering blocks, so you could use those in conjunction with whatever shock you choose.

they're half way down this page

Because from what I hear, it's basically only good for show. Meaning when driving around, the bike would be raised due to the characteristics of the suspension. Now I could be wrong. Between the rumor and the price tag, I just feel as though I could find a better solution to riding low full time. I plan to contact bad dad and bitchenbaggers soon. Maybe they can give me some ideas to make sure I don't do things twice. I just want the bike to sit the way I want once I have some streched bags and a 21'' front wheel on it.

Well im not trying to talk you into it by no means but i just added air ride to my grey bike for less than $200. It rides better than stock, has 5 1/4 inches of drop and the wife loves the ride. And i really believe it has helped with the "death wobble". I am a pretty aggressive rider and will push it to the wobble point if i'm alone. The speed in my favorite curve increased at least 8-10 mph over the stock suspension. With no air the tire doesnt rub.

Ever look into this?

When you say air, what exactly are you speaking of? The kits I see for just the rear are in the $1,000+ area. Please explain
