Default what is it

went to biketoberfest after riding in mountains near the dragon the weekend before. unload bike off trailer at hotel accross from rossmeyers daytona, crank it up sitting at traffic light and bike missfires and stalls. no problems in mountains , bike has been getting harder to crank over the last month, did engine upgrade ,cam heads pistons in winter had no problems at all until now.
bike keeps stopping only when it gets hot. starter crapped out so I had to blow 455 bucks on a starter and just incase a bad battery was sucking up voltage I changed the battery thinking at idle the voltage may be too low to run ecm. only stops at idle when hot changed plugs and wires too. I have no engine codes , any one know if the hd code reader will show more things I cant see on speedo guage. tried bringing idle rpm up to 1050 and opening throttle plate home position by .1 more in throttle settings. seemed to help for a while but started to stall again. getting 14.0 volts on charging guage.
bike has acr's installed with motor job. the new high torquw starter really cranks the bigger motor over. 103 255 cams 10.5:1 comp mva heads vh power duels and monster rounds 100 hp 107 torque stock intake stock injectors stock air flow sensor in intake. any way to check air flow sensor out?

I don't see year/model info, you got some kind of tuner on that?

I wonder if it's time to get the bike to a pro.

Just to make sure it doesn't turn into multiple rounds of replacing parts hoping to find a solution ( like the battery you bought)

pn67348-04d is a tachometer part number

most sensors and actuators can be bench checked with a meter, but you have to have an understanding of the function and readings/ calibration

Default saw that stem

I saw those posts on that valve stem i find it hard to believe a bad spark plug wire is going to have bike start throwing tbw codes. i have had codes before and they always start with c - p t had them when doing work on the bike while having things disconnected or changed out. the battery had part of the battery post blown off when the screw came loose in the summer and it over drew current trying to start, sure that was the start of the starter burning out along with all the motor work, increased compression didnt help. i ll pboabaly clear it and place fans around the bike with the race tuner hooked up recording and see if the code comes back and if I can spot something in the race tune as it records and i can play it back later.

2009 ultra originally a 96 now 103 with stage 2 cams 103 upgrade. then next winter did mva heads with 10.5:1 pistions vh power duels and monster rounds.

Something simple is to take off the gas line and reinstall it. Sometimes the valve seems to stick and not enough fuel is getting thru on intial fuel pump cycle.

Default had tank off already

had tank off checking injector connections and air flow sensor plug. even drained tank looked for water and dirty clean as can be. Ill need to get a connection to plug into the tank connection to see what fuel pressure is. runs fine at any speed not running out of fuel only at an idle when hot it misfires and stops.

There was another thread where a bike was cutting-out at 4k RPM, and that was his problem. Re-seating the exterior high-pressure hose connectors apparently fixed the issue. Other than a fuel-related cause I can't think of anything that seems obvious, although if the OP's bike was older (i.e. non-TBW) I could give him a list based on past experiences. I would pull the interior tank assembly and check the hoses for cracks or pinholes and the FPR for any leaks were it seats. Also, change the fuel filter while everything is out.

One thing I noticed is that the OP's bike has 255 cams in a 103 with 10.5:1 compression, which is a half-point higher than HD's max recommendation (10:1) for that cam set. This will really produce some elevated CCPs, and although with CRs it should take the stress off the starter it will certainly cause stress on other components (e.g., crank). I wouldn't think this would impact the stumbling issue, but is something that caught my eye.
