I got two chrome oil plugs (the ones on the filter mount) from Diamond Engineering. I don't want to take the old ones out without knowing if I need a replacement o-ring or some type of sealant. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Joe
They have a "pipe" thread which basically means the plug is tapered, so it gets tighter the harder you turn the deeper and tighter it gets. Don't over tighten, get a small tube or can of pipe thread sealer and tighten firmly. They don't have torque ratings.

Go to an auto parts store. Look around where they have RTV and stuff like that. You should find some thread sealant there. Loctite, Permatex, etc., as far as brands go.
