I don't know why, but have not been riding with gloves in the street??????? so I forget my gloves again........ just glad my grip heaters work............

wierd part is, when I race MX I wear shorty street leather gloves (from two prior crashes that tore up my fingers with the cloth/leather gloves)

the bike grips feels so natural, I can't get use to gloves????[8D]

hmmmm-let's see riding in the rain once in awhile here in socal or putting the bike away for several months cause there's 2 feet of snow on the ground. Me personally, I'd go for a little rain riding, but the 1st rain of the year is always the worst as all the oils and crap make for a slick ride.

Read the story.........Can't picture doing that many miles in 27 hrs on a crotch rocket. My body was aching just reading about it! LOL!
I know lots of people will argue this, but a VFR isn't really a crotch rocket--at least not by my definition of one. It's a Sport Touring bike. Mine even has hardbags, clip-on risers, throttle lock (soon to be replaced with a real cruise control). What I give up on long distance highway riding to the RK, I take right back once I get into the twisties. The trick is that the VFR is solid enough on the super slab to get me there.

Have no car, but would rather ride my scoot in the rain than drive a car in the rain...as far as washing, I wash it about once a month whether it needs it or not...

Ride safe,

riders like us out there on motorcycles!

There isn't many left anymore...

Wrong,Wrong,Wrong"

My wife and I love to ride in the rain, riding in the rain is the most
wonderful time to be riding a motorcycle. There are sights and smells
you can never see or smell any other time on a motorcycle.

People that won't rain ride don't know what their missing, just like
the riders that won't get up before sun rise and ride the first 4 hours
of the day have no idea what they are missing!

The 2 best times to ride are the first 4 hours from sun rise and when
it is raining (not drizzling that is way to slippery) riders that miss these
2 things have never known how wonderful a motorcycle ride really can
be.

My wife and I were on our Wing pulling our camper in the pouring rain
this Feb. 2006 at 75MPH in 4 lanes of rush hour traffic when we hit
1,000 gallons of oil that was not properly cleaned up from the day before
by the highway department or the city. Needless to say we crashed hard
and no one ran over us in the heavy rush hour traffic. Long story short
we repaired the hitch on the Wing at a welding shop and continued on our
vacation ride in the pouring rain for the next 5 hours with our smashed
up Goldwing, our brused bodies, tore up riding gear inclueding the helmets
and had a great vacation.

My wife and I still love to ride in the rain more then any other weather
conditions. I/we still have no fear at all of riding in the rain after the
wreck. People that fear rain riding or are to lazy to clean their motorcycle
after a rain ride will never know how wonderful a motorcycle ride really
can be.

To us that is a very sad thing!

Each to their own I guess? but still very sad in our opinion"

Be careful the men in the white jackets may be looking for you! LOL!

After 40+ years of riding motorcycles and well over 1 million miles
I don't think they'll get me any time soon if they haven't by now!! LOL"
