What size windshield
I traded the RK last month with the smaller windshield and kept the 20" windshield. If you think you would want the 20" windshield, let me know if we can work something out.
I live South of you so we can save on shipping.
Send me a PM if I can be of further help.
If you sit on your bike on a level surface the top of the windshield should be positioned anywhere from the bottom of your chin to the bottom of your nose. That is if you want to look over it. If you want to look through it I don't know anyone that can see over a 22" windshield without standing up. The stock windshield is 20" I think I would also suggest getting a recurve hope this helps http://clearviewshields.com/shop/product.php?id=22
What Fireaxe said. I am 5'8" and used the method for measuring as set forth on the Clearview shields web site. I went with the 17" recurve and it was perfect. I look just over it on the highway and can scrunch down behind it in the rain. Go with the recurve for sure. It really works to reduce buffeting and you can get it with a lower shield. Last thing, Clearview's customer service is top notch. You wait a while for the product but it is very nice in terms of workmenship and clarity. I had one that developed some minor spider veining around the bolt holes and Clearview sent me a replacement the same day my defective one arrived in their shop for inspection.
I've got a Street Glide, but I also recommend a recurve shield. I was able to go with a 1" shorter shield using the recurve than I had with the factory flat shield. It's another one of those personal preference things, but I prefer to look over the shield rather than thru it.

Clearview windshields are nice, however from my experience, Clearview, Klockwerks, Tulsa, Kuryakyn, Cee Bailey, Memphis Shades and a few others, all use Acrylic. Acrylic scratches fairly easily and can shatter.
Polycarbornate is scratch resistant as well as shatter resistant. HD uses Lexan which is polycarbonate as does National and F4. Polycarbornate costs more and requires more processing hence the increase in price.
My latest windshield I just installed 2 days ago on my RG is the F4. I haven't tested it yet since it's been raining since. The F4 came highly recommended from the Gold Wingers. This is the shield you see at rallys being windshield wiped with steel wool. It's also suppose to shed rain drops and it has a fog free process added to it. Hopefully I'll be just as impressed as the Wingers were.
Personally after owing 28 motorcycles, most with windshields. I wouldn't ever want to go back to acrylic if there was anyway to avoid it.
