Default need help

anybody have a simple way to install piston pin clips,spent about 3 hrs on the first one finally got it kinda gave up on 2nd one after about an hr kinda scratches the piston around the clip doing it with a screw driver never had a problem before

Screw driver is too big. Get a small pointed punch or make one with a crappy old screw driver. Grind the end into a point. Put the clip in at the bottom & using the point in the top hole of the clip Pull down & push in.
They can be a real ***** but it works!
step #2 Go get you some snap ring pliers!!

I use a pick, and put the bottom in , then roll it in with your thumb as you put pressure on it downward with the pick at the top.

3/4" copper coupling, insert the clip in the end, line the coupling up with the hole and use a 5/8" socket and drive it through the coupling thereby seating the clip.

Now I gotta remember that! Very ingenious there dawg in finding/figuring that out!

The Dawg is showing his age ... that's an old trick ... and a good one! Be sure they are fully seated ( double check ) after you've gently knocked them in.

I tried the copper tubing but these clips are so stiff couldnt get them in the copper tubig.I was trying to put clips in like book said with open end up,called fuel moto and Keith said doesnt matter which way you put them in they went right in like that
