Cool 21" or 23" wheels,..bagger project..

Guys,
Im starting a new project with my streetglide and i would like to know what you think about this,..
I have stock 19 wheels and i dont know if i should go for 21" or 23",.Maybe 23" is too big and im worried about the handling of the bike...
Most of the baggers i see today are using 23" and even 26" wheels, i allways thought those were just showbikes but i see them everywhere nowadays...

21" is "less" expensive and ride like oem even better for me. After more than one year with it, i'm thinking of 23"...

I only have a couple hundred miles on my 23 but I'm very impressed so far.

Remember with a 23" you will need a new front fender. I have never ridden a bike with a 23" so I cannot comment on handling of that. I find bikes with 21"'s handle just fine for me and my use. And I ride them hard.

to do a 23 "right" - requires cutting frame/raking frame/raked trees. where as the 21" bolt and go - maybe lower front 1".

or join the 26" club - still can touring on em...

Big wheels are sick in my opinion. I went with a 21" because I didn't want to mess with the trees, the frame, and my fairing. If I had the money I might have went bigger.

Really depends on your goals for your build and how much you are willing to spend. Either way it's going to look pretty sick.

Id go with a 21 and lower the front a little. I have a 23 and ride the bags off of it even with the ole lady on back. Handles just fine. Left the front stock besides Ricor Intiminators and FBI bottom out spacers. You still might ding the front fender with both setups depending on the bump you hit. Either setup is way better looking than any 18 or 19 IMO. Good luck with whatever you choose.

P.S Someone should make a 22" as that would be the perfect rim.
