another hole in the guard and usea stiff wire to "fish" it through, put rubber grommets to protect the wire where it enters the bars

before you do, mount up the lights ( which the wires run externally, temporarily) and see if you like the effect.

some riders find that the light reflects from the front wheels and causes distracting light patterns off the the sides when riding in areas with low ambient light.

I have the HD 'fog' lights on my crash bar. Some light does reflect off the bike, forward of the lights. I don't notice it when I'm putting down the road. I ran my wires external. I was told drilling holes in the crash guard wasn't advisable as that would compromise its integrity. The other thing I looked at were some Kuryakyn lights that mounted on the front fender mounting points...

I have my lights mounted on the engine guard with holes drilled, as mkguitar said, place the lights where you want them, then mark and drill, and use a grommet. Also the bars are pretty thick, plus where you will be drilling is not close to the bend and the hole shouldn't be that big, so I don't believe you will be compromising the integrity too much.

If you didn't know how to get the wire out are you sure you are up to this install?

I was considering these as well. The other option is Motolights, but the price difference is significantly higher. To those of you who have installed them, how do the HD lights perform? What is the amp pull? I ride all year and with a heated gear in the winter and need to know if I need to do an additional upgrade.

I ride dark country roads often and needs as much light as I can get to see those green eyes.

Not to be mean, but I do like LC Joe's comment! All is jest and fun!

Good luck and ride safe.
