Default Ohlins #6'sinstalled

As others have said............Howard is a wealth of information, he is happy to share and his one on one is stellar.

I have been trying to get the Road King to handle more like a sports bike...........(I know, it weighs 900 lbs )........Put Richors in the front and rear and the bike behaved very well......very stable and well planted. The rears were too stiff, so I had the springs changed to softer ones. Bike was still very stable in uneven/choppy corners at speed, but would bottom out once in a while in chuck holes or asphalt to concrete joints and the like. Sometimes ,3,4 or more times on a 200 mile ride,

I installed the Ohlins 2 weeks ago and now have almost 4k on them..........(I am on a cross country trip)..........not one bottom out. The "ride" is great.

On my last 2 Buells, I installed reserve reservoir shocks, and they worked out very well., so did the same to the RK.

+1 for Howard and the Ohlins. I have the #6's and I would say that riding two-up is a whole new pleasant experience compared to the ride and handling before the upgrade. One up is just as good and there is NO such thing as bottoming out, even two up.

I have the #2-#2A and I am happy with them. As said previously, #6's are the cream of the crop, so I can only imagine how happy you are with them.

One thing I'd like to say about Howard, not only does he give great customer service, but he is a teacher. He demands that you read up and become knowlegable about how shocks and suspensions work. If you don't do at least some home work before calling him, you will wish you did haha. So thanks Howard for sharing your knowlege, whereas I have a full and complete understanding of how shocks work, different types and the knowlege in how to properly set and adjust them. PRICELESS

When possible, could you post pics of how the reservoirs are mounted?

Just got back to the motel and I did bring a camera on my trip.

So here they are. Just cut off the antenna mounts.

Spent 1/2 the day riding around Savannah and took a horse carriage tour..........what a great old city. Tons of wonderful history.
