Asking around - 09 SG ???
Just got this bike used. The throttle is highly responsive I mean a small/slight twist and the bike lurches forward, is there an adjustment that can be made to tone this down or is this just the new engine...? Had 2001 and 2003 Road Kings and 05 Road Glide never experienced this much of a touchy throttle before.
It's not that it's touchy, it's got a slight delay. We keep adding throttle until we feel a response, but by the time we feel the response, we've added too much throttle and we have to let off from the sudden jerk. It is especially annoying adding throttle in turns. I've gotten better at adding a little throttle and waiting for the response, but i sure would like a fix. This same problem happens in the new cars with a fly-by-wire throttle (Mustang) and they can be fixed with electronic tuners. Is there a tuner for our Harleys?

Hit nail on head - better said then I posted and yes, this is the problem, and yes it's during turns, and yes I don't like it at all...!!!
Is there a fix for this problem - I see it as a problem.
The bike is completely stock except for some mild V&H slip ons.
V&h has a thing called throttle pak which is supposed to cure the throttle lag. If your bike is in fact stock(without an EFI tuner) then you might want to look into that. If it has a tuner then youll probably have to get it re-tuned. Buddy had the same problem, after his re-tune it was fixed and no more throttle lag

Please re-read the original post - it's not LAGGing - it's too responsive...

Again, this bike has no mods, none, no tuners, no throttle paks, no commanders, nothing, just a set of V&H slip on mufflers that's it - all stock after that ...
