I have an 09 FLHP and the stock solo seat is one of the reasons I went with a retired police bike. I and 6 feet with long legs and I could never get comfortable on any of the HD bikes I rented.
WHile the seat is very comfortable, there is a really ugly plastic pan that sits beneath it. I hated this thing so much that I had it covered with vinyl that matches the seat:

I also didn't want to give up space in the saddle bag for the air take so I mounted it on the right side strut between the rear wheel and saddle bag:

Others have used Kong dog chew toys as a replacement for the bladder. Search retiredpolicebikes.com for Kong and you will see several threads on this.
I pulled the air seat off my ex-police Road King for two reasons. First, and most important, it just wasn't that comfortable. It's great for slow speed handling in the parking lot, but I do a lot of long days, and sitting bolt upright, pushed towards the gas tank just wasn't comfortable. I like to stretch out, and prefer a seat that sits lower and further back. Secondly, it's not the best looking seat, and the cheap-***, 50-cent plastic tray that covers the battery was the last straw. Sold the whole thing on ebay, changed to a Corbin and would never go back.
