I can't say for sure since your modification is unique to your bike with the added late model 6 gallon fuel cell. How much did you lower the bracket? You raise a good question that I need to validate; how much difference is there in the location of the horn mount between the different generations of bikes? Oh well its a good excuse for me to go to the dealership with my tape measure. I don't think the difference will totally throw off the mounting or performance of the system, but I'll check it out. Worst case scenerio wont be unsurmountable, I'll just have to tweak the dimensions and build different models, no trouble. Curious how you like the 6 gallon tank?
The bracket is about three quarters of an inch lower. And the horn was brought back up by decreasing the down angle from about a forty five degree bend to more of a seven to ten degree angle and rebending the horn mounting point back down to vertical by eye. If you stop into a dealership you will find two distinct measurements, 2007 and earlier vs 2008 and newer because of the change from the five gallon tank to the six gallon tank. As for how do I like the bigger tank, I will let you know when I roll it out in three or four more weeks. It has been a seamless fabrication which I have just finished. Had to paint the new tank to match as my color red and paint scheme ended with my year. In fact I have not even upgraded my HDF signature yet. Up here, I love the Richardson Hwy which has a lot fewer gas stations. Final step will be when I can get my Russell Day Long seat because my Road Zeppelin no longer fits. I will let you know.

Great info, thanks. At 3/4" lower the system should stil work just fine, because the bulk of the air wil still be focused at the combustion chamber secton of the head, there would be a little less air pushing through the channel in the head. I will still check it out for any possible necessary adjustments.
You better be careful. Prying eyes are watching and will jump on another opportunity to rid you of even more of your money. I won't say who it is but their initials are HD.

I hear ya, I filed for patent, thats all I can do, If a corporate entity wants to steal this from me there isn't much I can do about it, but the good news is I'm not a one trick pony, my head is full of ideas, they won't get them all. Given the time and resources I can correct every known HD ailment, its just what I do.

Also a check on the finned bridge covers effecting the air flow........
How close are we to the first batch nearing completion?
Iam on the second batch waiting list.........
Oh yeah, Happy Easter everybody
(This is a day of rest)
Realistically, end of April, first of May, been working on them this weekend, hope to get them to the powder coater next week. I want nothing more than to work on this full time, but I can't yet, I do appreciate everyone's patience. Did a test run with the new welder and it worked out great. After I get the first couple runs out of the way, I will have enough money to get all the pieces done by CNC, then I will just have to weld them together, that will speed things up dramatically.
