First, I would like to thank all of the contributors. This is a very informative thread.
Is anyone running a pressure gauge, or something to monitor where the shocks are set at ride height? How do you know where to stop the compressor to get the feel or performance that you like? These questions are assuming that the shocks would perform differently at different levels, if that's incorrect, someone please straighten me out. Thanks again for all of the information and diagrams.
I am running the viair gauge just to see where i am at, i usually will air up till i am on the ***** of my feet which is about 60-65 psi for me, 200lbs.
Make sure you get the handlebar switch. When I bought my bike I had the dealer install my Arnott system and the dumbass tech that installed it put the switch behind the rear cylinder, I don't know how he thought I was supposed to touch it on the run. I bought the handlebar switch it mounts on the left bar and is a snap to raise and lower.
I am not the type to be able to invision how you converted you guage but I can follow instructions well. I bought a viar guage but I am not real happy with the way I had to mount it in the dash (it is too loose for my liking). If I knew how to convert my factory air temp guage I would do that because I know it fits in my dash perfectly. I figure you have to change it from electical (air sensor) to an air fitting? Can you give a parts list and where you puchased the parts and a step by step guide? I would really appreciate it. Coolerman69 I also appreciate all you advice, tips, and expertise while I did my install. I am pretty sure I would STILL be fighting it (air leaks, bad parts) if not for your responses to my posts.
How did you do the conversion from air temp to air gauge? I just installed the Arnott air system and I am using an auto meter gauge and would really like to find a way to use the air temp since it has the same look as the rest of my gauges.

That is really cool.
Thanks,

Its pretty simple.....pop (pry)the face off the hd gauge and remove the guts. do the same to the auto meter gauge. install auto meter guts in the hd case. you will have to drill a hole for the airline in the back and trim one of the screw bosses inside the gauge to allow for movement.
