My wife bought me a brukus saddle bag system for Christmas after asking my buddy what to get me. I put it on and it seems stable and like it's a good system. I think you could go to the hardware store and spend about 6 bucks and make the same thing, but her heart was in the right place. Anyone else have one? I never had any issues with the stock pin system, but I've heard of others who have lost saddlebags.
I'm on the ace hardware program, speednuts and wing bolts.
any security bit is available in set of 72 for $6 at harbor freight.
I do ride rutted dirt roads and prefer a fastener less likely to shake loose ( had one let loose once- stopped for camera and noticed it- used a piece of string thru the loops to tension the pins)

It's a good system, made by Americans in America...Maybe you're a little miffed she found something you didn't know you needed that you didn't know about? J/KLoose a saddlebag one time or find a loose fastener and you'll believe how good it is.l There are other good solutions too.
Thanks y'all. I appreciate the comments and I'm glad I have it now. It's handled the craziness of my trek to work down pot hole filled highways on the East Side of Houston, so I'm more than pleased so far!
