Default 95 ultra dash question

Hello all, I am tired of the retro square dash and low switch placement on my 95 ultra and am wondering if theres anyway to upgrade to a 96' and up inner fairing to update the llok of my dash, I suspect I will need to buy some new guages and speedo and the like. So if it is possible would all my coonections to my spedo- guages still work or am I just stuck with the old square look. I have lloke don ebay and online for awhile to see if anyone made an upgrade kit but to no avail. has any owner pre 96' be able to mod this at all? if yes how, how much and please show some pic. Thanking you in advance.

Well, I did it to my 1989 Ultra several years ago, so yes you can but.
I will try to remember some basic things off the top of my head.
First the physical part. The bolt pattern is the same off the front end. But you would need to change the triple tree top mount to accept the newer ignition switch. You would loose the Fork lock as it is on yours. To use the new fork lock you would need to weld the new lock plate to the top of the frame to accept the bolt from the lock. ll supports are changed that support the inner and outer fairing.

Electrical part is that you could use the same interconnect harness with some fixing, but the speedometer and tachometer is completely different. The speedometer on yours is a mechanical drive. It was used on the newer fairing for a few years but discontinued in 2000 (I think that is the year). Harley went to Electronic speedometers in Road Kings in 1993, but kept the Mechanical in the Electra Glide and Road Glide only. The longer you wait, the harder to find those type will be to locate. You could convert to the electronic, but you would need to buy a new transmission case that has the speedometer pick up.
The radio can be bolted in place. Don't forget that the lower part of the front of the fairing is different too.
