Tour Pack Removal
After having to walk past my FLHTK for a couple of days I started to think. No one need tell me that thinking can be dangerous, I already know that and would have to plead guilty. Anyway, I started thinking about the Tour Pack. I like it, will probably use it from time to time but probably not consistently or often. How hard it is to take off and put on? Does it make much difference in handling around town or start and stop riding?

you take off the 35 pounds or so swinging around up high and it makes quite a difference.
if you are unsure of how to do it, get the H-D kit, esp. if you will be on/off quite a bit.
other wise, bolting and unbolting it really is only a 20 or 30 minute process- how ever some thought need be given to the wiring.
take off your seat, look the wiring over and see if you think you'd be comfortable DIY or if you need the kit.
you also need to relocate the plate- I use a 2010 road king signal bar with integrated plate mount and led
