I noticed alot of people removed the fairing mounted mirrors when they install the 10" Monkey bars or Apes. I it because the 10" apes blocked thier view? I thinking about the PY 10" Monkey Bars, but I really like my chrome fairing mirrors and would hate to remove them.
I have been thinking about these too. I think the 10" is about as tall as I would go. On the photo comparison on the website, The bars look to be taller then the fairing mounted mirrors. Is it your arms that block your view?
10"
12"
Also I understand that stock cables can be used with the 10's, how about the 12"s?
No way I could see my mirrors with my 10's, but I have them pulled back a little so I can reach them.
And I had to install a +4 clutch cable so I could keep it in the fairing.
I would recomend going with the 12's. My hands a positioned perfectly so that i can still use the fairing mirrors, however are not by any means obmoxiously high. Im 6 foot and would say my arms are straight forward when sitting comfortly on the bike. +8 on both clutch and brake lines. If you re route the switch wire harness in the fairing you wont have to extend the wires (very easy to do)
Those pics are wrong. If you look at the rt bar on the 10 in it says MBB 12.5 (Monkey Bagger Bars 12.5 tall) which the ones I have and they look the same height as mine on the fairing.
I wanted to keep the fairing-mounted mirrors but after installing the 10" bars, they were completely blocked by my hands & wrists.
I think the 12's would let you look under your hands to them, but not the 10's.
As for the cables: 10's can use stock wires & cables, though you need to re-route the clutch cable through the fairing or else it'll be stretched too tight. To avoid the clutch being too taunt, get a +2"
12's will require new brake & clutch lines (+2 and +4 respectively), and I think extentions for at least the throttle wires...but I could be wrong on that.

I have 2 problems with the 12s:
1) I'm only 5'7" tall
2) I have the HD Braided Diamonback cables installed, stock length
