Default Custom wheel front, stock rear???

Quick opinion question guys.....

I have a 2010 Road King (with hard bags)... I just added chrome lowers to my front end (they look great!) and now I'm thinking a nice custom wheel would finish off the bike (yeah right!)...

What are your thoughts of only doing the front wheel and leaving the rear stock?... My thought is you really can't see the rear one anyway with the hard bags/pipes... It would obviously cut the price of the project significantly.... I don't know if I could justify $3000 or so for the two wheels (and tires, rotors, etc).... $1500 or so doesn't sound too bad though.....

What is your opinion? Just make the front pretty or save penny's to do both?

That's what I'm running. I don't have a problem with it.

Good idea, waste of money putting a custom wheel on the back of a bagger.

You'll be fine. Not everyone has money to burn on mods people won't see, I know I don't. Especially if you get extended bags, then the wheel will definitely be hidden.

I feel the same way. I did powder coat the stock wheel and pulley black. Do what your budget allows and don't worry about everyone else. Don't get me wrong I do like seeing custom wheels, but when you can't see it anyway I'd rather spend that money somewhere else.

It really bothered me to the point where I just finally switched it out. but it's not because I could see it, it was because I knew they didn't match.

I dislike mismatched wheels as well, however we all know the cost of a set of wheels. I bought a new set of rims for my softail about a year ago and I had RK bags on the bike. I ended up taking the bags off so you could see the wheels. Were it my bike I'd get matching wheels. I am into the details.

I have a 2010 RK myself. Yeah, I went with the 21" Spoke DNA Mammoth in the front. You cant even tell in the rear (standard spoke). Plus my next buy is some stretched bags and fender. So why waste the money?
