960 miles in 16 hours. Jonesburg, Mo to Cheyenne, Wyoming with a 140 mile detour because I-29 was closed due to flooding. In addition to stops for gas, included an hour long stop for food and putting on rain gear for 3 hours of riding in a hard rain in Nebraska. Of course, that was preceeded by an easy 760 mile day and followed by a cake 500 mile day.

Man you guys have done some schweet rides! I have a few over 300. Only one have I done by myself and that was from Fort Jackson SC after work to Talladega, AL last year for the spring race (335 miles). The guys said I looked like a redneck pulling up there in my leathers, a backpack on the backseat of the Heritage, and a case of Natty Lights strapped to the luggage rack. Good ride. It was a little cool but not bad with leathers. Windshields make a world of difference in the rain. Did the return 2 days later, perfect weather, just cool.
Done a few trips to Gatlinburg and back but those are right over 300. Never take interstate on those.
Kentucky to Colorado, 1350 miles in 26 hours on my FXR. Several hundred of those miles was through a major thunderstorm, heavy rain, thunder and lightning, bad visibility, running 75-80 mph. I was young and dumb.
Longest multi day trip was last summer, 4 months on the road, 14,000 miles, longest single day was around 400 miles on my Road Glide.

When I was in the Army, hit a heavy, cold rain just as it turned dark and we were still over an hour from base, riding two up with a buddy and another on a weaker two stroke tucked in tight behind me (Honda 305) so he could keep up at 80. Hit a roller coaster section of road, first dip my tach redlined, wondered if my clutch was slipping, second dip - completely sideways at 80mph. It almost immediately straightened out, and we stopped to say, wtf, and start breathing normally again. The other rider said he nailed the brakes, but it didn't even slow down, and thought he was going to T bone us; I wasn't sure we were completely sideways, but he said we were. We figured the only reason we survived was the speed; 80mph actual, probably near 110 on my rear wheel, the wheels must have acted as gyroscopes. Possible? I don't know. Moral of the story: motorcycles hydroplane even easier than 4 wheeled vehicles. I've had the back wheel spin below 60. Rain is not something to hurry in. Rear wheel spinning didn't convince the young me, but the sideways trick did.
This hardly qualifies as hard core with some of the guys I ride with but last June I did 1026 in around 18 hours, got around 5 hours sleep and then did 560 the next day. Total was around 1580 in 33 hours.
