Default Changing a Fwd Engine mount

I'm just looking to see if anyone has any ideas to a problem i have just encountered. Doing some maintenance to my 2006 FLHT, i changed the rear tire, installed and set the belt tension. Then i adjusted the primary chain tension to spec. After this, i changed a bad front engine mount. I used my scissor jack and a block of wood under the engine to raise it enough for the change. After i was done with the install of the new rubber mount, the engine was lower. I had to take another jack to get the wood off of the first jack. I think the engine is about a 1/2" lower than it was. I followed all procedures in my factory service manual. I am not seeing what went wrong. My next process will be to inspect the other mount points. I will be using "Proceure B" to align the engine as i dont have the alignment tools needed in Procedure A. Does anyone know why the engine would be lower like this. The engine runs very smooth at idle only. If i rev the engine about idle, the bike has a violent vibration throughout. This is a mystery to me at this time.

This may sound stupid, but check to make sure you installed the mount right side up. There is a "top" and "bottom" side, IIRC.

Had similar problem; Harley Davidson tech treated me to this new way of riding. Went n and was told front mount was ripped; Had it replaced and thought it road better ripped.
This was back in 09; Tech checked bike and told me rotors bad. Had them replaced. Same problem all the way present ,10 /31/12 Front motor mount installed upside down. Engine jumped around and not one Harley Tech found any problem all these years regarding vibrations. After learning about mount called Factory and explained what had happen and was told Harley Davidson has many dealers and can not check on all of them. When one goes out of business and is bought out you lose because its new owner. Call Dave Mattson and ask him yourself, Harley Factory; (customer service rep) They ride bike 15 min. and tell you nothing wrong. Take your hard earned money, and leave you scratching your head. (Be safe out there and give it hell.)
