I agree with coolerman69, easy to do.
Not only did I find the manual real helpful for this. It shows exactly where all the wires and looms go, but I took pictures when I was taking it apart.
I blew them up, printed them off and stuck them to my bench where I was working.
Worked for me.
I still have the pictures if you want them, but I can't get them till tomorrow.

After spending a couple hours at the bike show and swap meet it's time to work on the front fender. I used a 4" grinder to take the heads off the rivets. Then punched them out. Then took the mounting brackets over to the front forks and used a die grinder to enlarge the holes to make them fit properly, the holes were about 1/4 inch too close together. Good time to degrease everything. The fender comes fresh from a stamping press still covered in oil to keep it from rusting.

Wire feed and plasma cutter I picked up pretty cheap at an auction

After the everything is clean and dry I used my wire feed to plug weld the brackets back onto the fender.

After the plug welding I used my die grinder with a 3" 36 grit disc to knock down the welds.

After the welds were smoothed out I put a skim coat of filler on and it.

Tomorrow we'll see if I can get it through the primer filler stage and ready for paint.

I think your welding skills need a little fine tuning. For a little beer I could help you in that area. Oh and the bike show I think mine would have been in the top twenty. Was a little disapointed. I am excited about you finishing this thing. I do not feel the least bit guilty about letting you ride my first bike. I feel like I helped create a monster, ride on Bat dude. lmao

One other thing, I know it is too late but you might have wanted to tack the bracket on the inside on the outside of the bracket in a couple of spots. never did trust spot welds. That coming from a guy that loved to weld on dozers. One thing I learned never trust heavy equipment operators or carmen welders they can tear up anything. Make it bullitproof.

That's what happens when you only have to get out your welder once every other month or so. And I know what you mean about the bike show, I was in and out in an hour, only maybe 6 or 8 stand outs at the show. All the swap meet stuff was the same price as a catalog or hanging on the dealer wall.
