Wow I just figured out what the heck your were doing with the opener. Where is Mr obvious when you need him. I pull up the driveway and my wife runs out and opens the garage door so I dont have to get off of my bike. You mean I dont need her anymore all I have to do is get an opener.
I'm too old for this kind of crap, my knee's hurt, my back hurts and my hands are swollen up for some reason, and I started in on the whiskey about 3pm yesterday......
I moved a wall in my taking forever kitchen/living room mod, and that means the old scratched up hardwood floor (the real stuff) comes up and one like you're doing goes down. I'll be 65 real soon, and you're not giving me encouragement for that part of it. Know what you mean, though, tiled my family room floor 5 or 6 years ago, and could only work on it about an hour at a time. Floors are a back killer.
I'm sure your wife has no idea how important you and your cheapskate project has become. You should inform her that your loyal subjects are waiting your next move to see how we might be of assistance. This may be the biggest project of your life , you currently are over 22,000 views. All others projects should be postponed until further notice so your knees and hands and mind may return to cheapskate status. As for me, I set here lighter in hand waiting to join you in another cigar. I very much enjoy watching your project and will check back daily to see when your real life allows you to come play with us!
well At Least Batman gave us a picture of the floor... Ok back to the "real Project"
One rule that we have around here is if there is a new woodworking project it usually means a new woodworking tool. Needless to say I have some nice tools and can usually handle anything. Should have asked me to help Batman I would have brought you my tools and watched you use them and drank your scotch and provided all the support that you would have needed.
Interesting, I have the same deal. Only it's any project that is a honey do gets a new tool. You can come over and help drink my scotch anytime. Just bring your welding skills with you....
dang, took me awhile to find this thread again, was looking real foward to seeing the new pics and shoot, the wife has put you to work on some dumb ole floor. now, I got to wait how long? shoot!
Kroozeabout. ps floor looks good too.
Here we go, It's not quite Friday yet but.... Some were wondering what the install looked like on the garage remote control.
Here is where I mounted the button. I might mention that the fairing is thicker here and I had to trim the rubber weather protection cover from the button, then install the plastic nut that holds the switch in place. Then I used some black RTV to re-attach the weather cover to the plastic nut.
Next I attached the remote control to the inner fairing stay with two black zip ties.
This weekend I will install the battery and find a hot lead and a ground lead to connect it to.
Plans for the weekend are to:
1:Front fender in paint.
2:Outer fairing fitted.
3:Outer fairing painted.
4:Maybe lowers painted.
