Default Phoenix Customs...

I am a short guy (5'-8") and you guys may have seen me complain in the past about how I can't touch very well on my 11 SG. I am looking at doing some stuff to improve this but wanted to see what you guys thought about this:

http://bitchinbaggers.com/products/drop-shocks/

I have only found one guy that new a guy that did the 1-1/2" rear drop shock with Phoenix Customs and he supposedly loves it. I have found a set of stock shocks to send them so if I don't like it I can always put my factory ones back on.

I am planning on doing this and chaning out the seat while also purchasing the some trike tripple tree's to get my bagger down low to where I can touch good.

Let me know what you guys think or if you have heard good/bad things about Phoenix Custom on their modified shocks.

Why not put an air ride system on it? That way you can adjust to where ever you need.

Well that sucks... I was hoping that you were gonna say that you loved it. That is crazy that you are bottoming out whent they constantly talk about not bottoming out on the web page.

I thought about going to a legends or something like that. I just didn't want to spend $1K+ or have to constantly air it up and down as I am out rollin around.

Not trying to cut the big air ride company's out but many of us have done air ride's this way. I have almost 1,000 miles on my set up and I love it. Rides great solo or 2 up. Plus it cost around $200-$250.

They lowered my shocks 1.5 inches. I have no complaints. I ride two-up the majority of the time and I don't bottom out. I've found that riding with 26-30 lbs solo and 40 lbs loaded down works well for me. I know 26-30 lbs seems kind of high for solo, but I would bottom out a lot when trying 4-10 lbs. I only weigh 140 lbs and my wife weighs 120. Great Service!

Thanks, Tingle for the response. I am leaning more of that way but I think I am only going to start with an inch. I spen around 30 minutes on the phone with the owner yesterday and wow he seems like a great guy and garuntees 100% customer satisfaction. He told me to start out with just an inch (due to me and wifes weight) and if I decide to go lower to pay the $12 shipping and he would drop them even more. I thought that was pretty impressive that he was willing to do that for me.

He also told me that if I just didn't like it at all to send them back and pay the $12 shipping and he would exchange them out for some stock ones to put back on my bike.

I went with the Burly Slammer Kit for my SG. Easy to install and works for me tho the air ride system sounds interesting
