I changed to open air filter wonder if I am just hearing things that are supposed to be there with this cam. Either way I will get it checked, performance seems good, beter than expected with just a V tune.
Hey Master, how's it going ? Just wanted to make a suggestion to you, if you have'nt already heard it from anyone else. Last year I had a Zipper's MaxFlow deep air filter open element installed on my bike along with a Bassani 2-1 road rage pipe. As soon as I left the Indy's shop I immediately pulled over cause I heard a strange thumping sound as well, not as bad as a lifter noise, but none the less I called him up and asked what it could be. He told me that it's the throttle body plate, only happens at lower rpm's. Because the air filter is now open unlike the football cover the noise isn't as muffled as before. Hope this helps...
By the way....I wanted to ask your opinion on the Andrews 54H cams. I'm thinking of doing a 103 build for my 08 Street Glide and have heard good things about these cams. Would you recommed headwork along with them ? What comp do they work well with ?
Thanks for your time dude....
Here is my dyno on the 54 cam and very happy with it, heads were cut for a different cam or they would look a little smoother. I am thinking the same on the flapper, what did you do to fix it? Give bean at Bigboyz a call on the compression, talk through the whole build.
