Default How do I make my V&H HI Output Slip-Ons louder??

I really like the tone and depth of my new slip-ons, but I'm looking to make my V&H HI Output Slip-Ons louder on my 2012 Road King. Certinaly, better performance is also an added bonus. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Here's my set up:
Stock header
Stage 1 Screaming Eagle air cleaner
Fuel PAC tuner
The engine is entirely stock.

I'm considering adding the V&H power duals power chamber or true dual headers. Althought these additions are exactly what I'd call a cheap date, I'm pretty motivated to turn the volume UP on the exhaust. I'd like to do this in the most cost sensitive manner possible.

Thoughts???

Remove stock headpipe and they will be loud! Had them with V&H power chamber and it was way to loud for me.

The head pipe is the direction that I'm headed in. I've also heard of some people gutting their cat. How dificult is it to gut the cat? Instructions?? How about the O2 sensors...any changes needed there? Will I have to change the tuning of the bike?

Anyone have a used V&H Power Duals power chamber?

I've gutted the cat from the stock head pipes, it's still quite tame & still not loud enough. I have removed the baffles from the mufflers ( American Custom - gutted stockers ) & it sounds like a cross between a sewing machine & a briggs & stratton. Probably going to grab some headers from Fuel moto.

Yes, changing out the headers is a good way to increase your volume. You might consider going with True Duals (Dresser Duals) instead of de-catting the head pipe.

Change those head pipes. The noise reduction created by the catalytic converters in each chamber is a high percentage. You'll also notice a lot less heat on your leg. Do a stage 1 upgrade with a high volume air cleaner as well and a fuel manager. I went with the SE high flow air element, a PC V fuel manager, V&H power duals and finished out with the V&H monster ovals. Not an overwhelming volume of noise but a nice mellow tone. I can cruise all day long on the interstate without feeling like my head is about to explode but yet the bike has a noticable tone to it. As far as power increase, I couldn't tell you if there was one, only what the manufacturer claims. I wish I'd of dyno'd the bike before and after but didn't do so.

I have V&H PDs currently. When used in conjunction with my old V&H Twin Slash Ovals they sounded "just about right". Now with my Jackpots and Comp Baffle (louder) sound "just about perfect"... to my ears.

PDs will WAKE UP the volume of your H/O Slip Ons. I really liked the look of those, but it would be too loud for me. And I like loud pipes. V&H told me 105 dbs at 50 feet.

That's why I had to check this thread out. I though "who would want H/Os any louder?", but with a CAT it makes perfect sense.
